About The Program
The Surgical Technology program prepares students to serve as essential members of the operating room team. Surgical Technologists work alongside surgeons and circulating nurses to ensure procedures are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with strict sterile standards.
Students learn to prepare operating rooms, organize instruments and supplies, maintain aseptic technique, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures. Surgical Technologists play a critical role in protecting patient safety, monitoring sterile fields, and supporting surgical workflow from preparation through post-operative responsibilities.
Success in this field requires strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, adaptability, and a commitment to patient-centered care in fast-paced clinical environments.
