In a world where connections matter, there is no stronger bond than the one shared by fellow Marlins. Through their continued engagement, support, and leadership, alumni help strengthen the University community and create opportunities for future generations of students.

We are proud to announce the six newest members of the Alumni Council, beginning July 1: Emily Amland, MBA ’21; Melina Cabral ’23, MBA ’24; Andreas Combos ’20; Brandon Foster ’19; Zac Green ’09; and Juwon Seaborne ’22, MEnv ’25.

The Alumni Council serves as a vital link between the University and its graduates, helping strengthen relationships among alumni, students, faculty, administration, and the Board of Trustees. Council members advocate for the University and support enrollment and advancement initiatives for our growing, dynamic institution.

This newest class of council members brings a wide range of professional experience and perspectives, representing fields including customer success, banking, mental health counseling, therapy, medical sales, and graduate research. Together, they reflect the diverse paths Marlins take after graduation and the shared commitment they maintain to their alma mater.

“I'm very excited to return to my alma mater and continue supporting its growth and our Marlin Family,” said Brandon Foster ‘19.

Under the leadership of Bill Gobble ’03, Alumni Council Chair, and Kayleigh Poggioli, MBA ’23, Director of Alumni Engagement, the council continues to strengthen ties across the Marlin community and create meaningful opportunities for alumni involvement.

“We are thrilled to welcome these outstanding alumni to the Alumni Council,” said Poggioli. “Our alumni bring invaluable perspectives, experiences, and passion to the Marlin community. Through their leadership and service, they help strengthen connections among alumni, support current students, and advance the mission of the University. We are grateful for their willingness to give back and look forward to the impact they will make in the years ahead.”

The University is deeply grateful for the dedication of alumni leaders who volunteer their time and talents to ensure the institution remains connected, engaged, and moving forward. Through their service, Alumni Council members help cultivate Marlin Pride while supporting the growth and success of the University and its students.
